Gentlemen’s Resale Consignment Agreement
All merchandise must be freshly laundered or dry cleaned and in good condition.
A U.S. gov or state issued ID must always be presented and recorded for every consignment visit.
Gentlemen’s Resale reserves the right to reject any merchandise deemed unsuitable for resale and/or request proof of purchase.
All pricing is set at the sole discretion of Gentlemen’s Resale, taking into account style, current resale value, original retail price, condition, market desirability, and selling data. Please allow up to a week for your items to be pprocessed and an Item Price List to be emailed to you. Items will be placed on the floor immediately after the Item Price List has been sent.
Any items not listed on the Item Price List were not accepted for consignment and must be picked up within 20 days of their processing date or they will be donated.
Unsold consigned merchandise is subject ti reduction in price by 20% after 30 days and 50% adter 60 days.
Each consignment period is 90 days. The Pickup Date to reclaim any unsold merchandise will be listed in the Item Price List email.
Any consigned merchandise unsold by the Pickup Date, unless reclaimed by the consignor within our 20 days grace period, becomes the property of Gentlemen’s Resale without further notice. If you wish to claim any unsold items, please email us at gentlemensresale81@gmail.com at least 5 days prior to your intended arrival in order for your items to be pulled from the floor.
Consignors will receive 50% commission on items sold for $1-249, 60% commission on items sold for $250-699, and 70% commission on items sold for $700+. Commission percentage is based on the final sale price after any price reductions.
A Processing Fee will be added to each item consigned to assist with out operating expenses. The Processing Fee is charged to customers and is not taken from the consignor’s commission.
Gentlemen’s Resale is not responsible for damage to or loss of consigned merchandise.
Payment and inventory updates are available after the 15th of each month for all sales made the prior month. Checks are mailed to the registered address provided in this consignment agreement. We accept walk-ins of 12 items or less all day every day between the hours of 12-5pm. For more than 12 items, please call 212-734-2739 to schedule an appointment.
You can also email pictures of items to gentlemensresale81@gmail.com for review. Please note that we cannot guarantee pricing or saleability of an item until a pricing specialist inspects an item in person but we offer this service to help save you a trip in!
Checks are mailed out on the 15th of each month for all sales in the PRIOR month (e.g. a check will be mailed on July 15th for sale of items in June). Please ensure your full, proper name and mailing address are accurate on the consignment contract to avoid issues with receiving or depositing checks.
